My passion is to craft a ceremony that captures the essence of who you are as a couple, honouring your background and beliefs, while highlighting your unique love story. I can include beautiful elements to make your day special such as hand-fasting, candle ceremonies, or ring blessings. I can also include traditional ceremonial aspects such as spiritual or scriptural readings. Or you can simply say “I do” too...
Each ceremony is individually written, designed and conducted personally by me.
Whether a picturesque barn, a wonderful hotel or a beautiful garden setting, I will work with you to make your day breathtakingly fantastic.
Civil Partnerships and Commitment Ceremonies
Civil Partnerships and same-sex wedding ceremonies can also include as many traditional elements as you wish, beautifully worded to incorporate family and friends in your special day.
Alternatively, you may wish to make a commitment to each other without the traditional formality of a registered marriage. I will ensure your ceremony is beautiful, memorable and exactly how you wish to declare your life long union to each other.
As a celebrant, I am unable to legally marry you. You would need to get the legal bit done in a register office, which takes about 10 minutes, or some people opt to have a small church service. This can be as far in advance or after the celebrant-led ceremony. Many of my couples treat their celebrant-led wedding ceremony as their official wedding day and anniversary.
As long as you have permission, you can have your ceremony at any venue you like. It doesn’t have to have a wedding license, so it could be anywhere: a hotel; the beach; a museum; your back garden; the place where you first met; a field – the list is endless!
Yes! There are no time constraints so if you’d like to have your ceremony under moonlight or with the dawn chorus as background music, then that’s what we’ll do.
Yes, as it is not a legal ceremony, you don't have to say certain things and so can write your own vows, or choose from a selection of prewritten vows and amend them to suit you.
Yes, if you’d like to. And as well as exchanging rings, there are other traditions that you may like to do such as handfasting, jumping the broom, sand blending or lighting a unity candle.
Yes absolutely! It is your ceremony so you can include whatever you’d like. You may like to ask a guest to do a reading, or I can do it for you and you may already have chosen a reading, or I have a comprehensive selection you could choose from.
It makes no difference to a celebrant how many times someone has been married. If the ceremony is combining 2 families, there are elements we can incorporate into the service to represent the union of family.
Yes, you will get a commemorative certificate which will be presented at the end of the ceremony. I offer couples the opportunity to sign this during the ceremony if you’d like the ‘signing the register’ photographs but this is optional.
I am based in the North Cotswolds and cover Gloucestershire, Warwickshire, Worcestershire and Oxfordshire however I am happy to travel anywhere within the UK or globally but I will charge for the necessary travel costs. No travel costs will be incurred within a 30 mile radius of my home postcode.
